Epsom Girls Grammar Humaniatarian Group

Big thanks must go to the Stella Inkpen and the Epsom Girls Grammar Humaniatarian Group who kindly organised a bike drop-off day at their school. A dozen or so bikes were collected and are now being distributed through Bike Kitchen.

Thanks Stella and Epsom Girls Grammar!

Partnering With NZ Corrections

In mid 2016, Bike Kitchen started working with a bike repair program at
Paremoremo Prison.
This rehabilitative workshop teaches inmates how to restore bikes and helps them
gain invaluable workplace experience.
The men take a lot of pride in their work, and enjoy being able to give back to the
community.

“It’s a privilege to contribute back, especially being able to help the refugees who come here with nothing,”
- One of the participants.

Our New Container

Our Bike Kitchen container workshop has finally been placed in position next to Roskill Youth Zone (RYZ). This has been in the making for quite some time now, and comes on the back of much hard work from PATH’s Richard Barter and Earth Action’s Agnes Grenada.
